New Replica Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professionals In Moonshine Gold

I love what Omega replica has to offer for the “balanced diet” watch consumers. Omega’s catalog certainly has no shortage of good and functional products, but at Omega Days 2022 in Miami last week, the brand released three solid-gold Speedmaster Moonwatch Professionals that were exceptional in the best possible way. While the green dial grabs the most immediate attention, the more laid-back “Gold Panda” dial and new rubber strap are the understated standouts for me. In a way, if the solid Canopus Gold Speedmaster (i.e. Omega stands for platinum) Speedy Calibre 321 is a little bit rich for your blood, or if you just want to put more on your face than a solid gold Speedmaster, these can be considered almost acceptable replacements. While they’re not called the most important releases of Omega Day, that’s why these Moonshine gold Speedmaster Moonwatches have pretty much everyone talking about them.

Replica Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch ProfessionalMoonshine Gold is Omega’s proprietary alloy that debuted back in 2019 on the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11. This is an 18k yellow gold that is slightly lighter in color than regular gold and is said to be more resistant to fading. For all alloy nerds, Moonshine gold has a roughness greater than 75% gold, 14.5% silver, less than 9% copper, and greater than 1% palladium. While I’m not an expert on this, a more typical 18k gold is 75% gold with most of the rest consisting of copper. So the Moonshine is lighter in color and less yellow than typical 18k gold, ostensibly explained by higher silver content, less copper content, and the addition of palladium. (Brief aside here: Omega continues its commitment to investing in proprietary metals and alloys, and they’ve launched their own O-MEGASTEEL, along with these Replica Omega Speedmaster Watches, a new ultra-deep collection. It’s both a shrewd move by them. It does put pressure on other brands.)

Back to these three Moonshine Speedmaster copies. There are PVD-coated green dials in solid gold cases and bracelets, while gold and black accents are available on solid gold bracelets or rubber straps (I call them the Gold Panda). It does what any great rubber strap should do, is so comfortable to wear that it feels like George Costanza draped in velvet. But of course, comfort isn’t everything at this price point, and it has a Moonshine gold buckle with a 2.3mm extension. But the coolest part is the inside of the strap, which protrudes out of the moon’s surface on the front, the perfect embodiment of the “chef’s kiss.”

The case of each is typically 42mm wide, 13.18mm thick, and has a lug-to-lug height of 47.5mm. Bezel in green or black ceramic with Omega Ceragold (gold and ceramic composite) tachymeter scale. From behind the sapphire crystal case back, you can see the manual-wind METAS-certified 3861 Co-axial Master Chronometer movement running at 21,600 VPH with a 50-hour power reserve, in addition to 15,000 gauss reluctance, free-sprung balance, a Silicon balance spring, and of course the Co-Axial escapement. It is also well done with Geneva stripes, round grains, gold-plated engraving, rhodium-plated throughout, a satin finish, and a polished bevel chronograph mechanism.

Fake Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional

I have to say that the Swiss Omega replica manufacturer has done a great job with the dial color achieved by the green PVD coating. A lovely green sunbeam finish with a stepped dial, the final product isn’t actually quite on your face, as the photos you’ve seen here and other media might suggest – it’s pretty subtle in a way that’s hard to convey through a photo. A few times, I or one of the other watches on the vivant in attendance noticed that it actually looked dark, almost black, in the absence of direct light. But when it’s indirect light or sunlight, the green comes alive without a hint of subtlety. I personally find it richer and less noticeable than the green bezel/dial combo on the Hulk. But that’s just me.

These Fake Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professionals exude sheer drips and excess in Moonshine gold. Does anyone need a solid gold Moonwatch? Apparently not, and if you think about it that way, you miss a rather self-evident point that replica watches are worn as jewelry most of the time. Yes, it has the DNA and bones of one of the three most famous chronographs in history, but you can get it for a fifth of the price. I took a look at the current watch market and a lot of it is dominated by those chasing/obsessed with the usual hype pieces or speculators looking for the “next big thing” and let me tell you, it’s out of date. So, when I see the prices of these Moonshine Speedmasters, I don’t hold back, and I don’t feel the need to criticize, because…it’s not unreasonable. This is a solid gold Omega Speedmaster, what do you expect? The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Moonshine Gold with “Panda Gold” dial is priced at $26,400 on a rubber strap and $36,500 on a solid gold strap, while the green dial model costs $24,600 on a green strap and $34,800 on solid gold.
